Homemade Cranberry Relish

I bought the cranberries from Misfits Market.

They are a lovely color.

Rinse Well...

Homemade Cranberry Relish

12 Oz Bag Whole Cranberries

1 Apple

1 Orange

1 C Pineapple (Fresh or canned)

1/2 C Sugar

1 1/2  C Walnuts (Optional)

Rinse fresh cranberries and drain well. Core and cut the apple into chunks. Peel the orange and divide into quarters. Cut the fresh pineapple into chunks or drain canned pineapple slightly. Set aside. In a food processor add the rinsed cranberries and roughly chop. Add the fruit and sugar to the cranberries. Process until coarse. Add the walnuts and pulse until they are pea sized and incorporated into the mixture. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. Mix with a spoon before serving.

I also bought the pineapple from Misfits Market.

Roughly chopped cranberries.

Apple, pineapple, orange and sugar.

I

This is a bright beautiful tasty addition to the Thanksgiving table.

I love this stuff. It is the best cranberry relish that I have ever had. It can be made in advance. It lasts quite a while in the refrigerator or it stores well in the freezer. It seems like it's a lot of sugar, but cranberries are super tart. This relish is easy to make and requires very little prep work.

May You have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving Day,

Mrs. Smith
