We received a care package from Mom today. It's such a sweet gesture. Mom sent many thoughtful items. She knows that I like to journal, so she sent a supply of ink pens and notebooks. She also sent Number One his favorite snacks. There were handmade pot holders, crafted jellies and a jar of molasses. She sent Band-Aids, creams, sports wraps and more for the medicine cabinet. There were two boxes stuffed full of treats and treasures. Thank you Momma for loving us. You are a blessing to us both...
Inside the box was a surprise gift from my mom's friend, Lura. Lura added a beautiful apron and a handcrafted jar of rhubarb raspberry jam. Lura is a new reader to the blog. So, Lura I want to thank you for your kindness. I am grateful to God for the friendship you and my mom have.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths;
feels your fears but fortifies your faith;
sees your anxieties but frees your spirit;
recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities.
