It could fly a few feet. If it wanted to go higher, it would fly upward to the next area before going even higher. It ended up on the sleeping on the ceiling fan for several hours.

| It kept getting weaker and weaker as we waited for help. |
Despite our best efforts to get it help, no one from the wildlife department called us back for almost 24 hours. It died overnight. We were saddened by the loss. We didn't know if anything could have been done for this precious owlet, but they should have tried. This is the only neotropical migrating owl species in North America.
