What exactly do you write on underwater? Waterproof paper perhaps? Do they make waterproof paper? We are scuba divers. |
Many, many years ago, Number One Husband purchased each of us a "Bullet" style Fisher Space Pen. Mine was a red and his was chrome. His has been long lost and mine is around here somewhere perhaps in a purse that hasn't been used in a while.
I decided to purchase two new chromes for us for our upcoming anniversary. I must say first off that they have doubled in price in the twenty plus years since we purchased our original pens. I made an offer for two gift boxed pens, and it was accepted immediately. The next morning, I received an email asking if different packaged pens could be sent. I did not get the chance to respond before they were shipped, and the wrong ones were sent. He literally blamed me for not responding fast enough. However, he did send boxes the next day. He tried to pass the blame off by saying that his listing should has charged two more dollars per pen for the boxed pens even though his title suggested otherwise, and my offer was accepted. I ordered the gift boxed ones for a reason, they were gifts. I didn't even know about the other packaging that was available. The only pictures and description were of the gift box pens. I looked at the listing again, and he still has pens available. It's the same listing with no changes. It's been almost two weeks, and he still hasn't changed the listing. Go figure!

I write and journal nearly every day. I can go through a couple pens a month. I just want a nice experience while writing. Back in my banking days, I collected all the ink pens that were left behind by customers. I have a duffle bag full of pens somewhere. Free is always better. I digress, back to the pens now. I must say, I enjoy the smooth writing of the Fisher Space Pen. It has good balance and feels nice while I am holding it. It is compact but expands when the cap is place on the bottom of the pen. For those of us who are old fashioned and still use pen and paper, this is a nice pen. I can also use it to write on my calendars that are hanging upright on my refrigerator without running out of ink from writing at an angle. I highly recommend the Fisher Space Pen if you are an ink pen snob, need to write in space, underwater, in extreme temperatures, upside-down or just like a nice writing ink pen.
I would not have purchased these pens normally, but I did not pay retail. In fact, I got free shipping and $10 off per pen. Number One Husbands' motto is "Paying retail is for suckers". A Bic pen is still a good bang for your buck. I would have been just as happy with a box of Bics, but I wanted to replace Number One Husbands' long lost Space pen for our anniversary.
Shalom,
Mrs. Smith
