$2.48 Grab Bag Chips...

When I stopped by the store I was shocked at the bare shelves and by the inflated prices. Remember the .75 cent Grab Bag Chips at the checkout? They are now $2.48. Ouch! I wonder how much they are at a convenient store. I was only able to take pictures at the checkout, because the store was packed, and I was just trying to get out of there ASAP! They were out of stock on the two different items that I went in there for in the first place. I was able to substitute one item for a more expensive brand and I had to get something completely different to replace the other item. Ugh! The more expensive brand cost almost $3 bucks more! I paid $2.24 for 4 small apples.

These are the small individual bags of chips at the checkout, not the large size.

Just look at the price!

Pikes Peak enveloped in clouds.

I took pictures of a storm rolling in while stopped for road construction.

It was a large storm.

The clouds were circulating and dropping low to the ground. It couldn't pick up the steam it needed to form a tornado. I'm concerned that when it hits the front range and warmer temperatures that it may turn tornadic.

I stopped and took pictures closer to home, but they did not save on my phone for some strange reason. Hopefully, I will see some more awesome clouds that I can get pictures of and share. We are supposed to have storms off and on for the next few days. Fingers crossed; it's getting dry again.

God's Big Screen... Storm Clouds...

Storm clouds started brewing late yesterday afternoon.

It's amazing how fast the sky can change.

This is taken from a different direction.

Sunset is almost here.

There it is.

Amazing cloud formations.

Wow, this one is powerful.

Lots of colors.

The rain is not far off.

It's getting darker.

I captured some lightning.

It was nearly dark outside by this time. The camera takes really nice photos in practically zero lighting.

It's too dark for the camera to focus.

This lightning strike lit up the sky and allowed me to get this last photo.

We ended up with 1 1/2 inches of much needed rain out of this storm in a very short period of time. We had some flooding in low lying areas. The water could not run off fast enough in the downpour. Lots of lightening and thunder. The sound of rain on our metal roof was so relaxing that we fell asleep fast.

Shabbat Shalom,
