Pictures of The Day - Spring Storm at Sunset

We have high hopes for rain over the next couple of days. We need it. The wind has been relentless for weeks. While this storm looked like it would drop some rain, it only produced a few drops. It doesn't look good for campers who poured into the state parks for Memorial weekend.

Pictures of the Day -

Number One Husband snapped some great buffalo pictures. They were excited to see him and to have a scratching post to rub on. It has been really cold, and their water froze overnight. They all came running when they heard him breaking the ice. All these photos were taken from the safety of the car even though the buffalo are used to us, they can still be very dangerous animals.

The calf was kicking up its heels.

Check out the double exposure.

He wouldn't stay still for the picture.

Hello!

Stay warm,

Pictures of the Day - Sunrise and More!

I had to be up very early to start canning coleslaw. I know, I thought the same thing. Canning coleslaw? Blog post coming soon. I rarely see the sunrise during the summer. We keep the blinds closed on the east side in order to keep the house cool all day long. I don't have to concern myself with keeping the house cool this time of the year. In fact, we open the blinds to let the sun in to warm up the house.

This is what I saw...

The skies were extremely busy all day long.

Beautiful lake view.

I watched a plane track the mountain top as the sun rose.

Snowcapped mountains.

The lake had a cold fog rising up from the water.

This was the first thing I saw when I opened the binds. I was intrigued
and continued to watch the plane advance towards the mountains.

Picture Of The Day - Photography - New Lens

Number One Husband gave me a camera lens for my birthday. I am so excited to be able to take close-ups of wildlife without having to get too close. I can take better landscape shots and even take close-ups of the moon.

Thank you, Number One Husband, I love you too!
