Headlines - Doomscrolling - Extreme Weather

It has been extremely warm the last few days, so I have taken this opportunity to let some fresh air into the house. What little snow that we had on the ground has turned into giant puddles. The ground is frozen, so the water does not seep into the ground. It just refreezes at night and thaws during the day. Mud season is early by months. We have a dismal snowpack level.  We are not the only ones experiencing strange weather. From Alaska to Florida, the weather is off kilter in the US.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

The whole world is off kilter in so many ways. It's disturbing and chaotic out there to say the least. Here are a few headlines that I wanted to share. I stuck to somewhat non-political headlines just because. I also tried to stay within our own borders.

Corporate profits near all-time highs, while wages near lows... Greed!

America's Cattle Herd Continues To Drop; New Record Low... More Inflation coming!

Store closings may accelerate as retailers face problems far beyond tariffs... Concerning!

Egg prices have shot up so much they are now being stolen! Crazy!

A Deadly form of H5N1 has spilled over into Nevada dairy cattle...  Worrisome!

Chicken grown entirely in a lab hits shelves in 'world first'... Gross!

Drug gangs turn to 'death saint' for protection and human sacrifices... Sick!

Russian state media airs naked Melania images... Disrespectful!

We have absolutely no control over the things happening out there. However, we can pray. We can control our own actions and be examples to those around us. We need to be informed about issues, but not overly concerned by the things of this world. Doomscrolling is unhealthy!

Household electricity bills skyrocket

Oil jumps 2 percent on Iran jitters, OPEC meeting eyed

This is just a few of the headlines in the news lately. I wonder how our elected officials( in power )make these broad statements like "things are better now that they are in charge." or "how everything is the someone else's fault". I think that they are so far removed from the "real" people that they don't really care about the damages caused by their decisions.

When are they going to start taking responsibility for their actions? When are we going to start holding their feet to the fire? It's our responsibility to vote for a candidate who can lead us out of this, but I don't think the choices we have now will stand up and say "no" to the pressures of politics. It will be politics as usual....

Ephesians 6:11-13
King James Version (KJV)

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
