Happenings...

This week has been a very busy week for us. We finally had our propane tank filled and we received a large pallet of new inventory. We ended up in the city yesterday afternoon just to take a break and pick up some supplies. On our way home we snapped some shots of this unusual boat car with two skeletons as backseat passengers. The driver was more than willing to let us take pictures and we had a quick chat at a stoplight. It does not float...

We also snapped some photos of the sunset through a rain spotted windshield. We didn't make it home before the Sabbath started, so we enjoyed a nice drive home through our mountain passes. The traffic was heavy and people are just dangerous trying to get to wherever. It must have been more important than the lives of people they endangered by driving so erratically.

I found some beef bacon at Sam's. I can't wait to try it. We usually get to travel and pick up smoked beef bacon from our favorite smokehouse in Missouri, but that has not happened in a long time and we are out. We buy Godshall's turkey bacon from Sam's and it is really good, so I imagine their beef bacon will be just as pleasing to our taste-buds.

Sam's is limiting some tomato products. Prices are still going up and packages are shrinking. We also stopped by Dollar Tree and I noticed they had two sizes of lemon cream cookies. One was less than half the size of the regular size, so I bought a few packages. I wasn't going to buy any, but this alarmed me to the fact that shrinkflation and inflation are alive and well. The main reason I wanted to go to Dollar Tree was to pick up a few inexpensive items for our Winter car kit. (Blog post coming soon!)

We have a friend who works with many types of fuel including gasoline. His prices are going up at the rack where it is picked up. We literally got fuel for less that the price at the rack yesterday. So, get ready for increased prices on fuels and energy too.

Our little Abby is sick with a UTI and is on antibiotics. Poor little old lady.  I'm heating up water for a hot water bottle for myself. My back has really been hurting more than usual. It has been almost 10 years since the wreck and I am still suffering daily with back pain. And we are still suffering with the evils of savage attorneys, a savage court system and an evil savage corporation. The Bible warns of greed and the love of money... But, I have many things to be happy about....

Antibiotics
Seeing a boat car
