Applesauce pie, white and rye artisan bread |
I had a large, opened jar of applesauce in the refrigerator that I needed to use up, so I started looking for recipes that use applesauce as an ingredient. I found a recipe for Applesauce pie. This was intriguing. I have never heard of an applesauce pie before.

Bake on a cookie sheet to avoid spillage in your oven. |
Bake until the center of the pie barely wiggles. |
You may need to use a foil tent to keep the crust from burning. |
I can't remember where I found the recipe online to give credit where credit is due. Sorry and thank you whoever you are! It was fabulous!
I have enough applesauce leftover in the jar to make Applesauce bread. I will use my Grandma Ruby's Apple bread recipe and substitute applesauce for the chopped apples to finish off the jar.
