Egg Prices and Shortages at Wal-Mart - Rising Gas Prices...

I hurriedly took pictures of the eggs available at Wal-Mart. They did not have 12-count eggs, only 18-count eggs. They apparently ran out of those too, because people were breaking apart the two 18-count packages and getting charged the same amount. The store put up a sign warning customer not to do it.

The extra-large eggs were the cheapest at $8.08 for an 18-count.

Sorry for the blurry pictures. This is the sign warning the customer of the costs.

This was the extent of the egg section. I just needed milk, lettuce and mini-sweet peppers. I also bought fig bars for a treat. The Great Value brand is the best tasting brand in my opinion. They are also less expensive than the other brands, but good grief they were still outrageously expensive.

Gas is back up! We got it for $3.74 a gallon for the lowest grade. They were under construction, so they have kept their prices a few cents lower. Usually, they are the highest in town. It's well over $4 a gallon for the higher grades. It is supposed to go up even higher. I'm not sure how the US is ever going to recover from this super-inflation if everything keeps going up on the consumer level. Don't believe the lies that they are spewing about the economy. We are the ones with our boots on the ground living it out while they keep trying to convince us otherwise. Our gas bill for this trip was $85.
