I guess I woke up hungry in the middle of the night and came up with a new pizza idea, so I gave it a try. We really like the deep-dish kettle pizzas that I have been making recently, so I thought that I would incorporate the leftover spaghetti that we had on hand into a pizza using the same crust and baking method.
I must say that it was a great idea. I have made a spaghetti pie before, but this is nothing like that. The spaghetti in this pizza is completely encased inside a deep-dish pizza crust and baked in a kettle or Dutch oven. Number One Husband is a big fan of this dish. I looked around the internet to see if there is a name for this dish to no avail. I'm sure that there may be similar dishes, but not quite like this one.
I have more plans to try out different kinds of stuffing using this crust. Stay tuned to see if any of them turn out. If I like a recipe, once I have tried it out several times I will post the recipe on the blog. If it is a recipe that I have created myself, I post it when I make it again so I can share the process with pictures.
