Amish Oven Fried Chicken

This is an easy recipe to make. It doesn't require you to deep fry your chicken in oil and this saves money. It also doesn't make your home smell like a doughnut shop for days and it tastes great. I have made this or a form of this recipe twice. The only difference in the recipes was the spices, so feel free to improvise. I like the spices in this recipe. It reminds me of homemade stuffing because of the sage in it.

Ingredients

Mix butter and oil in a jelly roll pan and melt in a 375* oven.
I make my own cracker crumbs.

Add all dry ingredients in a large bag and shake to mix.

Roll each piece of chicken in butter/oil mixture. Place chicken, three at a time, into baking mixture bag and shake. Place chicken back onto jelly roll pan skin side down. Bake for 45 minutes.
Turn chicken over and bake for another 15 minutes.

Yummy!

For more yummy goodness, make gravy out of the pan drippings and serve over mashed potatoes. Serve with a salad,  a hot vegetable side dish and some homemade bread.
