Extreme Weather...

I am afraid that we are in trouble. We are at 9,000 feet in the High Rockies of Colorado, and we do not have much snow left on the ground. It has been in the 50's or higher most of this winter. It should be -35 degrees this time of the year. This is the second time in as many weeks that we have had dust storms.

The wind is really blowing and drying out what moisture that we have had, which isn't much. If we do not get more moisture our fire season will start soon.

This snow is long gone.

We have to stay inside with the house closed up when we have thick choking smoke.

This fire was only a few miles away and trapped many campers and boy scouts.

Things to be happy about:

Snow in the forecast

A warm winter makes our propane last longer

The smell of bread baking

Lava lamps

A leaning aloe vera plant

The sound of my husband's comforting voice

The feeling of accomplishment

Ice sickles

The definition of the word clear: free from darkness, obscurity, or cloudiness; light: a clear day. transparent; pellucid: clear water.

Have a great day,

Mrs. Smith
