We have had to go to town every day for the last three days. Ugh! This isn't the city, but the closest town to us that has grocery stores and a Walmart. We have been topping the gas tank off at a convenient store that has been offering really discounted gas prices. Usually, they price gouge their neighbors to death. It cost us $15.47 to travel to town each day for a total of $46.41. Ouch!!!
This is one of the main reasons that I choose to shop for fresh items and run errands once a month, have as much as I can shipped for free and shop for staples in the city, which is farther away, every three months that can't be shipped.
It costs about $7 each time that we have to go to the Post Office. Just imagine how much it costs to travel for these basic reasons when gas was $5 a gallon. Gas was that high about two weeks ago.
