The Trollstigen trailhead is connected to several trails in the area. It is a very short well-maintained trail. We hiked here twice to take pictures of the troll. My camera had the wrong lens on it, so we visited a second time while hiking a longer trail nearby.
This is where Number One Husband busted up his knee. Not really sure what happened, but we got it all cleaned up. Good thing that we had less than a mile to go get back to the condo. He was stiff and sore later that night from the incident, so he soaked it away in the spa tub.
There is another troll that is not far away in Victor, Colorado whose Name is Rita the Rock Planter that we hope to visit soon. Victor is a cool old mining town. We like to stay at the Victor Hotel. It is an amazing old hotel with an original cage type elevator. We usually just go on day trips now that we live closer. It is one of our favorite drives in the Fall.
