Day 18 & 19
We rested on Day 18 and didn't do much on Day 19. We have a guest. One of the dogs that frequently visited us has been with us since her buddy, the other dog, was picked up by Animal Control. The officer would not let us have her. We can keep the one we have that he couldn't capture, but I think that he wants to build a case against the owner using the other dog. Apparently, they have had many issues with this lady and actually had to euthanize one of her dogs.
The best thing that the officer could have done for both dogs was keep them together, but that wasn't on his agenda. Petunia is laying at my feet. The situation is very fluid, and we will have to see if we can get the two dogs back together, but for now, we will take care of the one we have.
We had just purchased 46 pounds of dog food for both of them at the beginning of the month. It was on our must have list for the 31 Days of living Well and Spending Zero Challenge. That is how often that they stayed with us. We really love and care about both dogs. They are a pleasure to have around. I'm ashamed of the owner for her cruelty. She has never once looked for them.
