We ended up with a few more inches of snow that is going to blow with the rest of the snow and cause major drifts. Tonight is going to be -33 degrees along with windy conditions. Temperatures are plummeting right now. I need to go out to the chicken coop one more time before the sun sets.
I did some baking today and made the house nice and toasty. I made kettle pizza, and I baked whole wheat pita bread. I plan on baking sandwich bread and crackers tomorrow. It's been a busy morning but all in all it only took about 40 minutes of prep time to prepare everything. The rest of the time was just waiting for the dough to rise and the baking time. Well worth the effort...

| I used the rest of the Make-A-Mix Cookery Whole Wheat Baking Mix that I had stored in the freezer. I made another half batch to make some crackers out of tomorrow, and I will store the rest in the freezer. |
It's time to go out and check the chickens on more time. The temperature has dropped 10 degrees in about 15 minutes. I hope that everyone is staying safe and warm.
